Assumption: You are currently employed as a research manager for either a NZ based business, or an international brand looking to enter the New Zealand market.
Your task is to identify the research problem (or opportunity) facing that business and propose a qualitative research design to solving that problem.
This will take the form of a ‘research proposal’ that breaks down the problem, presents current relevant findings, and makes recommendations for the use of qualitative research. An outline of the specific research tool (guide) is to be included in the appendix of this proposal.
Your chosen organisation must not be one that you have completed assignments on in previous marketing papers.
Your report must show that the problem/issue is important enough for additional research to be conducted.
Your research proposal will present:
Background to the problem Comprehensive definition of the problem Summary of secondary data relating to the problem Proposed research design & justifications Sampling plan Draft of proposed qualitative research tool (appendix)
Appropriate APA referencing must be used, and a range of secondary sources drawn on to give evidence in support of the proposed research need.
Only publicly available information sources can be used. Please do not contact firms for information directly. Advise your lecturer (via a post to the discussion board on Blackboard) as to your choice of client organisation by the end of week 2. The marking guide for this assessment will be made available on Blackboard.
The soft copy is to be submitted to Turnitin in a Word document format and the file name must include your name and Student ID. Turnitin is a plagiarism detection service.
